Morning started in a half shared 18x20 room (I had a single room of 20x30 in home) in a locked palace with long lines in washroom. I peeped up in my watch, “Oh! Shit! Its 7.30! Aaj fir ED se bahar! Rush beta!” .Quickly got ready and rushed for cycle, dubbed my roomie and ran for the hall. I parked it up and ran upstairs. “Roll no. 617. Roll no. 617” attendant was calling.“Present sir!” I said gasping for breath.I copied the sheet a.s.a.p. and ran for lunch.
After a torturous series of labs, we ran for sip and bite of life at my, in fact everyone’s favorite LC. Its angel’s house in heaven of IT-BHU. Hail the man who runs it.
“Life in first sem was full of fear, expectations and a thought ‘Wish we could be in IIT and not IT’. Now, it is better that we are in BHU not any other place.” I thought as I had my daily course of samosas and tea.
In night I recollected my whole first year. I came up with an attitude as if I don’t care who rules the world, never feared of ragging, study (I now fear it a lot!), anything. In fact, I was glad that I was never ragged. And yeah trying best to get DR1, and I did that! The enjoyment of Kashiyatra, hard work of Technex and masti of Spardha. I came here as a kid, a first time out from home. I celebrated my 18th birthday here. I became an adult by age and by sense. I learned how mean are people, I learned hoe helpful are some of them. Learned a lot from my learning platform. And I should get a degree of a pharmacist too along with an engineer’s. It was “Sir Sunderlal hospital” my learning platform. No! I didn’t broke my leg, but was taking care of my two best friends. And I just came to know people better. It was a sad but one the most memorable moments of my life.
It was good for my life but it screwed up my acads. Never mind, I got a BC, no offense, branch change from Hammer strikes to 440 volt shock!
After spending two whole months with mom’s scolding and exempt from mess food, I came back to life after 2 months of coma. Life is smooth unless you like someone specially your best friend’s best friend. I am serious about this, don’t try it out! I suffered, I cried but I got a shoulder to cry, my “school enemy”! Yeah its right, “he” gave me a shoulder to cry. I learned a lot from him. All the Poltu I do now. All the ways to get myself happy. He made me happy, of course he does, my joker “Aadi”. And that’s a signal dude, mind it! Pen it down somewhere. I cried, and he made me giggle with tears in my eyes. We shared the best friendship I and he ever had. I began to love him secretly, and yeah I was caught in this robbery. “Life is chill @ IT-BHU”.
Regular, boring and sleepy lectures went on and yeah my papers screwed me up every time they came. But something was there which made me happy. I was a poetess by then. The great great “Samvedna”. Yeah fine, I know you would say “Zyada ho gaya”. But I was, No! I am good. And it took me to a new place ‘National Youth Festival’, I loved it. After all, till end of it I was a poetess, an actress, a script writer and a dancer. It brought “Jayantika Soni” out of me. “Aaj main uppar asmaan neeche, Aaj main aage zamana hai peeche”
The life moves on now with technical activities, masti, loads of work and yeah “him”. It is life of Red, Yellow, Green and Palaces. I had loved it and would be doing so forever. “These are the best days of my life”.
